Statement Jewelry and You!

When you hear someone say Statement Jewelry, what do you think of?

To me statement jewelry is something that says something about you! In other words, when I want to wear something people refer to as "Statement jewelry" I want it to stand out, and reflect what I like.
I know when people say stand up for what you believe, you automatically think of bigger things like bullying. (Which I totally disagree with, and firmly believe that only the weak will bully) Standing up for who you are refers to every aspect of your life. This could be things from disagreeing with something as big as religious beliefs to not going with the trend because its what everyone else is doing, but going with the trend because you actually like it.

So why is it that when you walk in a store and see jewelry for sale there are so many of the same pairs? Everyone is different, and therefore have different likes and dislikes. However, everyone seems to want to go with the trend. Well I say, "go with what is different and stand-outish. I want to be different. I know how hard it is these days to be different without someone having something to say about it. My advice for you is be different if you have the strength to stand out, and stand up for what you believe. Even for something as simple as not liking what everyone else does.

So many times we do what everyone else is doing because we don't want to fight the current. I, myself have done this, however in the long run I find myself feeling defeated.  Don't let this happen to you. Find the strength within yourself to standout.

Can you see what it is?
So now back to statement jewelry, have you ever taken a look into statement or custom jewelry? There are some amazing things. What's even better is I make it, and you can get it. :) I love to make earrings, or necklaces made just for someone. What I base my design on is things about the person I am making them for. I like to know their favorites from colors, people, prints, Details are important.

Have you ever sat down and got to know you? One day I had nothing to do. I remember sitting down and thinking, I don't even know what "I" like. After a while of thinking I realized that as a mother and wife I have always thought about the needs of my family. I pushed mine to the side for so long that I lost sight of them. This is when my love for creating, designing, beading, wiring, and crocheting came about.  I love to make something from just about nothing.

I like to take old things and make them new and fabulous again! So I ask each of you to take time for you. Get to know who you are, and what you like. You may just surprise yourself with what an amazing person you are when you bring her or him to the light.

So I welcome each of you to my blog and I hope you enjoy reading it, just as much as I did writing it. I thought this topic fit perfectly for the role of my "first blog ever". I have many more topics to bring about. I also have an upcoming giveaway coming this week. So stay tuned, share with your friends, live laugh and love everyday.

As a closing thought here is a quote by one of my favorite women:
